I usually don't do much hiking during the summer. For some reason or another I prefer to hike in the White Mountains when the temperature is well below freezing and there's a few feet of snow on the ground. It doesn't make a lot of sense. But this past weekend I got out into the Whites to hike the Tripyramids via the slides.
Ashby is a small town in Massachusetts that contains (part of) a large pile of rocks and dirt. This pile has been named Mount Watatic. I just happen to live next to the mountain and I constantly find myself photographing it. I've decided to create a photo essay about the mountain and I'll be adding a separate gallery to my website. This is a work in progress and will continue for, well, forever I suppose. I don't see any reason to stop photographing it as I'm constantly surprised by what the mountain has to offer, no matter how many times I drag my ass up and down its slopes. EDIT: The new gallery is up on my website.
